What a lovely weekend! I finished some work this morning, and had a wonderful lunch in McDonald. After the meal, I even eat a pack of wafers! Now I take a seat, open my mind and start my first blog.
Blog should not like an essay or a oral-presentation. I don’t think grammar, vocabulary and calculations training should be pay much attention when writing an blog. Instead, I prefer to take it as a discipline for English thought processes, albeit trying some interesting expressions.
Actually, I love to write what I was thinking about. Do some free-writing with no topic, no sequence, and no conclusion. It seems I’m just writing for fun. I really enjoy it very much especially when I don’t have to make it into an essay . Some good ideas may be developed into an essay one day. But for today blog is blog . I love the freedom.
However, in many situations, working without any purpose can stimulate creation. Maybe no purpose means no pressure, which make human brain happy to work. thus being more creative.
But purposeless work cannot change anything. When we are in depression, we tell ourselves that do not take life too seriously. It’s not true. Life is serious. Of course I enjoy writing this blog and benefit from it a lot. But for a real life, I must go back to recite the page34 of Longman Dictionary.

Oh Mr Lim, I read my blog again. I think there are to many 'I' in this blog. Please forgive me about it and I promise not to make the same mistake next time.....

ReplyDeleteNo need to apologies Yu Chen. I agree that we must enjoy the experience of blogging and not be overly concerned with grammar. However, like any piece of writing except perhaps free writing (the process of generating ideas of an essay), we must be mindful of our p's and q's. After all, this is an English exercise; and although you may have free reign to what you write, you want also the readers to comprehend what you have written.
