My Personal Financial Princeples

I always believe in a Chinese old saying:" The stronggest one is the one who wants nothing." So my primary princeple is Never Be Materialize. I try to make best use of every items I own and focus my mind on my belives rather than things.
However, I still have several secondary principles which are easy to understand.
The first principle is Never Dry Up. If I dry up, I use all my money up. Then, what if I need a new pen? What is my shoes broke? What if an old friend come here from China? I need money but no money in hand. It's totally unacceptable. So, never dry up.
The secound principle is Choose What I Need. When I want something badly, I just write them down. Sometime later, I calm down and select what I really need. I'll only write down the selected ones on my shopping list. Actually, I find that I don't really need numerous things.
The third principle is Buy When Unhappy. Assuming I'm happy, life is enough and I don't need any more. If I really needed something, I won't be happy without it. And sometimes, I may feel unhappy for other reasons. However, shopping always cheer me up. Whenever I'm unhappy, I'll check my shopping list and buy something. Expensive ones for very unhappy time and little ones for slight unhappy time. This way, I buy not only material but also mental pleasure.
The last but not least, Be Generous. Camaraderia is priceless.
That's all, thank you for your time.

  1. It's a good idea to go shopping when you are at low spirit, which will offer you pleasure. And I appreciate your reasonable principles if this is exactly what you are doing, since it seems impossible for me to do so.By the way, there is a spelling mistake in the title(principle).Anyway,it's a good practicing.

  2. You have very strange financial principles and some are even contradictory. You claim to be not materialstic and yet you shop when you are unhappy -presumably to acquire material things. We must be very clear and certain about financial principles or planning other wise we may lose all our money and wealth. Edit your blog before posting.

  5. I think each of your principle is good but they do not agree with each other, as Mr. Lim said, they are contradictory. Nevertheless, it is good to have financial principles. It will keep you away from spending too much money or getting broken.

  6. If you want to choose what you actually need, you should go shopping when you are not hungry. If you go shopping with you stomache empty, you will feel like you want everything. And as a result, you buy a lot of things that you find you don't need later. So go to shopping after you have a good meal.

  7. as a girl ,i totally agree with you ,haha ,when we are happy ,our mind is logical ,so we should make every step about the finance carefully .when we are unhappy ,we will be confused and out of order ,so at that time ,we are likely to do something that we will not do when we are awake in mind . it is understandable . but to be honest ,spending money on the useless things is really a sadness
