Have ever heard about the book <3 kingdoms>? It is one of the most famous books in China. The book tells about something in ancient times when the mainland of China was separated into three parts. And those who have read that book must think the book is interesting. Nevertheless, I am not to telling about the book, but a popular card game designed according to the book. I do not know what the exact name of it in English, but if its Chinese name is translated directly into English; it is called “3 kingdoms’ killing”.
Now, let me share with you something about the popular card game.
In that game, players play different roles. The roles include a king, loyal ministers and betrayers as well as some people against the king. The king is the only role under sunlight (I mean all players know whom the king is). On the other hand, other role is only known by the player himself.
The purpose of each role is different. The king and the loyal ministers’ purpose is to kill all bad guys, that is to say they are at the same side. In contrast, those people going against king are supposed to kill the king. While, a player who plays a betrayer has the toughest task, which is to kill all the other players except the king and at last win the king by himself.
Since players do not know what roles are others playing except the king. We need some strategies to know who is who, and also to prove what we are, so that the condition would be clear.
We also need to choose a general, so that we can distinguish players. And the skills of each general are different, so that players’ abilities differ from person to person. Well, the skills of the generals are designed according to the personalities of the generals in the book <3 kingdoms>. Let’s take lvbu as an example. He is the bravest man in that time. As well as in the game, he is good at fighting. When he gives you a punch, it is hard for you to escape. Thus, if you want to win the game, your ability to use skills is important.
Other than those playing abilities, luck seems to be the most important thing in that game. After all, it is a kind of card game. If you can get useful cards every time, you must win unless you do not know how to use them!
The same as the plot of the book < 3 kingdoms >, the game is a little complex. But if you learn how to play it, you can be good after some practice. In a word, the game is pretty interesting!
