My visit to the Art museum
After the suffering progress-test 2 in the morning, we went to visit the Art Museum as compensate. To my delight, I really learnt a lot of things from the journey and the visit was rewarding.
In the art museum, I saw a lot of things which impressed me a lot. These things have a lot of features. First, they are all designed basing on real life. Some things on display are related to the history. They show the scene of war and remind people how hard life was during the war. Other things exhibited are related with some kind of modern things and explain a special meaning to people. Second, many items on display are made of commodity. For example, one thing on display with the shape of a bone is made of slippers. And another item on display is made of mirrors and lamps. The above two features really make the exhibition special and impressive.
What impressed me most was item made of lamps and mirrors mentioned above. It took a big place. A line of round mirrors were placed on the floor. Above the mirrors were lamps hung to a frame. There were machines on the frame to make the lamps to move up and down. When the lamps move to the mirror, they hit the mirrors and made sounds. You will have a special feeling when you are surrounded by the light and the sounds.
I think the benefits of going to museums are that it can help to expand your horizon. Museums are the conglomerations of great ideas which you have never known before. Going to museums can give you big ideas and great ideas which will help you a lot in your life.
I agree with you that the benefits of going to the museums are that they can help us expand our horizons. Sometimes, there are some abstract things that we could not understand. But we can imagine some other potential meanings behind them. Maybe it is the specialty of arts which attract most of the people.
ReplyDeleteYou really did learn a lot? I couldn't understand anything in the art museum and to me they are all meaningless. Maybe I do not know art as much as you do.
ReplyDeleteyes! Life is the foundation of art, but art is more impressive and more valuable. I benefit a lot as well, because I believe art brings logical thought though it's tough to understand.
ReplyDeleteI do not think that the journey to SAM can benefit me a lot. It may broads my horizen at that moment, but now I have already forgot a lot about it, and I believe that I would forget more soom. Because, I did not catch the meanings of those art works. The works are too abstract for me to understand. I think it is because that I do not have enough knowledge to understand the things that the works reflect.
ReplyDeleteDifferent people have different ideas about the exhibition. For me, the lamp and mirror also impressed me most. and i think it just shows what we are pursuing----- recycling and reusing. however, i prefer it smaller to some extent if it is used for decoration in daily life instead of displaying in the art museum.
ReplyDeleteMay be the trip just want to expand our vision, if so, I admit it really shocked me. However, different from you, I did not really understand something's in the two museums but I just felt some uneasy emotions.

I'm glad you enjoyed your trip to the SAM. Not many people visit museums and fewer still visit modern art museums. They often lament that they don't understand the art pieces on display. Why seek to understand everything? Why not just take in the exhibits and sights and enjoy the visual delights. Museums, you must agree, have such a calming and therapeutic effect on us.
