Farewell to my beloved Kobe

I don’t know how to describe my feelings when I saw the results between Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Lakers on Monday. I have to admit that I was wandering or exactly daydreaming in my Monday’s class. I just cannot accept the truth that the dynasty of Kobe Bryant has passed.

I always believe that Kobe is not only a brilliant basketball player to me; he is also a symbol of a period of my life. I lived in school for three years during my high school. I did not have any favorite things to do. We could neither watch movies nor surf the Internet. I did not have much time for reading when my teacher continued bringing pressure to bear on us. It was basketball and Kobe that made my life in senior high school less boring. Every day our topics mainly focused on NBA and PE lessons were the same as basketball matches. We had many classes in the morning. But with the hope to know the result of NBA matches, we did not suffer from them anymore. I could still remember the small bookshop where I secretly bought large amount of Basketball Magazines the Slam. I was not allowed to read them in my class so I secretly hid them in my quilt and read them at noon. One of my friends is a crazy fan of Derk Norwitzi. Every weekend we went out to buy posters and stickers. When we returned school, I got a lot of Kobe in my bag and he got a lot of Derk Norwitzi. Every time when Dallas Mavericks failed, I would tease at him. Lakers did quite a good job at that time and Kobe even won his fifth champion several days before I took the College Entrance Examination. So he never got a chance to tease at me. However, when Kobe was defeated completely by Derk Norwitzi this season, he is studying in Dalian University of Technology while I am staying on a tiny island near the equator. Perhaps I will never be teased by him again.

Anyway, I can be more attentive in my class since Lakers is eliminated. Perhaps Kobe has realized that I was always wandering during lessons. Though Kobe will still appear on the court next year, my favorite Kobe has gone forever with the departure of my senior high school life. Farewell to my beloved Kobe.

  1. Haha, it is quite interesting that Kobe knows you are wandering in the classroom and lost the match. To be honest, i know little about NBA or basketball. In my high school, many of my friends like it and i forced myself to fall in love with it but failed. To me, basketball is too violet; in the meantime, it is quite eye-catching and competitive.

  2. I'm a little surprised to know that you are a basketball fan. At least seen apparently, you are not as strong as whom I imagine as basketball players. I guess you may be easy to knocked down on the court. But sometimes "like" does not have to be "good at". Maybe the passion is the thing really matters.

  3. oh , i cannot imagine you like Kobe deeply like this. in my opinion , everyone has a time to be defeated and it is inevitable. what we prefer to remember is their success and wonderful performance. however, he till needs supports from such a tremendous group of fans, and you are one of them.

  4. Everybody has his or her peak, but they also have to face the fact that they will pass their reaks one day. We should have a positive attitude. The passed things are good memories which can motivate us in the future.

  5. Doggie is getting old. It's time for the show of gorilla.:) I do not like Kobe, so I am happy to see Mavericks take down Lakers. But I am really sad that Celtics was lose the game. I really like Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen and Rajon Rondo. They unfortunately met such a powerful opponent. As I said this year is gorilla's time. They have the chance to win the champion.
