Three years passed: The Wenchuan Earthquake

On watching the share of news about Wenchuan earthquake three years ago from friends on Internet, a kind of amazing flow suddenly rushed into my heart. It is difficult to describe and express what the difference of my feeling  is that moment and now. What I can remember is that we stood up and sent our wishes silently that afternoon in class. Time flies, and it has been three years. Today, there is some news about the victory in rebuilding Wenchuan and the process that it is going on. Watching people's smile, I feel happy for them.
The nightmare of Wenchuan earthquake becomes the past, but during  three years , we  could still see there are so many natural calamities around us. And the most terrible one might be the Japan earthquake, tsunami with Fukushima nuclear plants problems. More than twenty five thousand people died in this recent disaster according to report done by EMS(environment news service ).
Here, I do not think I am able to explain the reasons clearly and have a specific analysis. However, what I can see is our environment is worse and worse. What can we do to protect it ? Maybe it is a fact that we are only the minute ones in the world. nevertheless, trying our best to protect our earth is protecting ourselves. Do it in our daily life, we will have a better world.

  1. I do not consider environment as the cause of these earthquake. I think these tragedies are the results of the earth activities that we cannot avoid. What we can do is putting up stronger building and awaring people how to survive the earthquake.

  2. Yes, it is the human that makes the environment such bad. However, i have to say, the activity of earth is really abnormal. what we can do is to change the way we explore and find a way to cope with the current situation.

  3. The earth is our mother, and all of us should work together to protect her. As the cleverest creature in the world, we human beings sometimes are too proud and overconfident. It is not what we do not know, but it is what we do not want to do. Two of my roommates are from SiChuan province, and at 5.12 2008, I experienced the same thing as them. Therefore, I can deeply feel their feelings.
At last, I want to call on all to protect our mother earth and only in this way, we are protect ourselves.

  5. I remember clearly the day when the earthquake hit.We were about to start the lesson when the whole building started shaking. We didn't realized what happened until someone suddenly shouted "Earthquake!" Then the whole school fell in mess. People rushed out of buildings in panic and we stayed at the playground for the whole afternoon. It enlightened me that we do need to take good care of the earth now, otherwise, no one would know what's next.

  6. Perhaps I read too much articles that analyze current China, when I read the report which is about the success of rebuilding Wenchun, I never felt delighted. In fact, I do hope the government can put more effort to build more solid house at the first time.

  8. It is a matter of fact that the earth is getting worse and worse. The governments always say that they will take measures to deal with this issue. However, we did not see any actions are adopted. We must do something to protect the earth. Or perhaps the countless disasters are waiting for us.
