The Internet has changed our ways of living completely. We can say that the modern society has totally been controlled by the internet and it will collapse definitely without the Internet. Though Internet plays an important part in our work and study, it can never control human beings.
I once watched a short MV on the facebook entitled “Pay attention to the scenery around you instead of your phone”. I was deeply moved by this MV. In the MV everyone was addicted to their mobile phones and never cared about the surrounding environment. Such things do happen in our really life. Since the mobile phone has a quick access to the Internet, we can log into the Internet anytime wherever you are. There are too many people who surf the internet as long as they have time, even when they are having meals. There are also too many people who can’t wait to surf the Internet as long as they sit in front of their study desk. I used to be one of these people before I came to Singapore. But thanks to the poor internet facilities in Eton Hall, the Internet is no longer so attractive to me anymore. Every day I will just bring my laptop to NUS and check my emails and surf the internet for a short time. I think that’s enough for me. After I get out of the jail of internet, I have more time for myself to enjoy music, reading, communicating with my friends. I firmly believe that the colorful world will bring me much more than the internet.
totally agree with you . nowadays, we are much more relied on the Internet ,and as for me , i nearly cannot live when i think there will not be Internet around me for a long time. however, we can find fun reading books and talking to friends . haha , really confused whether i will study any more when we move into the hall . xixi~~
ReplyDeletethe Internet has occupied too much time in our daily lives. Though it can be very useful to our study or entertainment, I agree with you that we shouldn't treat the Internet as the only thing. Communication and activities are also quite vital,as we can learn a lot, some of which cannot be picked up on the Internet~
ReplyDeleteWe Chinese youth seem to be addicted to the internet easily, and glad that you cast away from internet addiction! My blog's theme is similar to yours, that is, we shall concentrate more on reality.
ReplyDeleteI have seen that MV too. It shocked me in the first place and I had never thought about how many time we spent on renren or facebook instead of talking to people sounded. I agree with not being addicted to the internet but you said that you do not spend so much time on the internet because the poor network in Eton Hall, what if you could gain a good one? Can you control yourself then?
ReplyDeleteI'm agree with you, because a person should know what they want and choose the most helpful tool to get it. Internet is only tools to help people achieve their goals. However, it also provides numerous entertainments. The point is that people should make a balance between work and play, otherwise, cellphone, computer labtop or pad or whatever can also spoil human life.
ReplyDeleteOne can't imagine the world without the Internet today. It is not just at the personal level, but from the governments down to all strata of society, this virtual monster has become indispensable. Life will slow down considerably without the Internet. Maybe it will make the world a better place to live or at least more friendly and less inpersonal.
ReplyDeleteInternet is not all to you. We should not be addicted to electronic products. The Internet and the computer are just the tools to help us wor better. We should spend more time doing other things. And I think after you lost your mobile phone, you abide by your thoery better.
