Why China must only be ruled by the Communist Party

China is widely criticized by many western and American media for its single official ruling party—the Communist Party. They mainly focus on the same topic that the human rights of the Chinese are strictly limited. For instance, in China, the right to vote, the right to know the truth, the right to say things, the right to move around, and these words all seemed quite unfamiliar to most Chinese. Foreigners always think it incredible that the Chinese are prevent from some certain websites and you have to stay silent even though you are dissatisfied with the government. In spite of all these unreasonable things I have mentioned, I have to say that ruled by the communist Party is the most proper choice for China to develop.

As everyone knows, after the universal declaration of human rights, the term “human rights” began to come into our sight. But if every Chinese began to vote for their leader, every Chinese have access to all the information, every Chinese began to demonstrate against the government, just imagine what china will be with such a huge population. It takes a long time for china to develop to the present standard after many tough events like the anti-Japanese war, the Cultural Revolution and the June fourth incident…the modern society is 21st century is no longer the world when the famous universal declaration of human rights was signed, the competition is now much more fierce and you have no choice to lose. Though many problems like bride and corruption still exist, there is no doubt that Chinese are living a much better life since the 18th century. Once grand revolution takes place, some other anti-China groups will definitely take the chance to break in and Chinese will probably lose their current life for the sake of these so-called democracy and human rights. Hence we can’t take the risk to revolute when the definition of human rights or democracy is still rather vague and not mature in most of the Chinese’s mind.

“All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.” This is the first article of the famous universal declaration of human rights and it sounds really fantastic and magnificent. But due to China’s special history and national condition, in the end I still firmly hold the opinion that China will develop to her fullest under the dominion of the communist party.

  1. I agree with you. Western world hate the communist China, just as that they hate Mongol many years ago. The hateness comes out from fearness. Well, do whatever we can do for a stronger China and leave the Westerns to fear and hate.

  2. Agree!!I think China is doing very well under the command of the Communist Party of China, so there is no need to change the situation that China is ruled by only one party.

  3. haha, i have to say that we are Chinese , so we consider the issues in a Chinese way. we can witness the development of china , and there are benefits for us ruled by the communist party. some people said to me that we had been influenced and "washed" for twenty years, it is difficult for us to see the negative aspects. however, we should know about them , there are really some problems of human rights in our country , which we can not deny.

  4. Agree. So far no other party in China could be better than the Communist Party. In addition, China under the Communist Party's rule is developing fast though causing some environmental problems. But the Party also need improvement, for there are many inner problems in our Communist Party.

I wonder why the tutor didn't delete this blog. your opinion is more than sensitive. i think china do need much more freedom of speech but people should be responsible for what they have said-----so those who spread rumours should be charged.

  7. Although the Communist Party has its advantages, it does a good job. Since there are so many people in China, it is very hard to govern China. If it was other party govern the country, they might not do as good as the Communist Party.

  10. Dear Zhao Yue

PS Should be 'bribes' and 'corruption; not 'brides' -- the latter word to be used with 'bridegrooms'.

    Dear Yu Chen

the nouns for 'hate' and 'fear' are respectively 'hatred' and 'fear'.

    Dear Feng Xiao

Nothing to worry. Tian Chi and all of you are just expressing your opinions. However, be prepared to substantiate them (your opinions) if you were asked why the Communist Party of China is the best Party to govern China.

  11. We shall take an intellectual and dispassionate approach to this debate. If others ( read as Western media or America) do not critise China then there will be no discussion; and China and the Chinese will continue their blissful existence. We must not equate criticism with hatred or fear. Try to see where the West is comming from: they believe that a multi- party system is best suited for governance ( different parties take turns to form the government from periodic popular voting). Just as the Chinese are happy to have only one party - the Communist Party - to govern the nation, others may want to see a contest of ideas and peronalities and exercise the right to choose their own leaders. There is no absolute right or wrong system in the choice of governance. It is best to go back to the discussion on basic human rights rather than political system.
