With the help of the advanced media nowadays, the world becomes smaller and we can communicate with each other much more easily. It really benefits us a lot.
It seems that our media is nearly perfect, but can it be better? I think there is a possibility that our media can be improved to a higher level. How to improve it?
You know, human beings have five senses: seeing, hearing, touching, smelling and tasting. However, the media today only apply seeing and hearing to our communication. The other three senses are still not applicable. You can see that the media has created such a colorful and convenient world for us with only two of human beings’ senses, so what a paradise our world will be if all the five senses are applied?
With the advent of devices that can transmit information of touching, we can feel things far away without going out of home. And we can know more features and details about the goods when shopping online. Thus, we can buy exactly what we want. If devices that can transmit information of smelling and tasting are introduced, we can smell and taste things as long as we start up our lap-tops. Perhaps there will be a kind of restaurant that offers tasting of delicacies in the future with the help of these devices.
You can predict many more scenes, and the truth is that there will be remarkable changes if our media can apply all the five senses. I hope the time of the more advanced media can come in the near future.

ReplyDeleteYou are imaginative! It is a good idea to modify media on other human senses. Whereas, it seems impossible for us to do so according to nowadays' technique. It is hard for us to smell or to feel something. But I still think the idea is good!

But I am afraid that there may be a problem that people may get lost in the environment created by media and can not distinguish which is the real world if technology can develop to such a high level that can provide us with a same feeling as the reality.
